In November there was an IAESTE organised Brewery Tour to Feldschlösschen. Many people went and had a lovely time drinking lots of free beer. I was not able to attend for various reasons, so I was suitably upset. Since then I have spent many nights crying myself to sleep, thinking of all the excitement (and copious amounts of beer) I missed out on.

So, for those of you who will still be in this country in January and enjoy a beer, I have a proposal. I have organised for a tour of the Feldschlösschen Brewery Tour for the 17th of January. The plan is to visit the famous 125 year old Swiss Brewery, see the castle and drink copious amounts of their beer. I have space for 20 people, so if you are interested send me an e-mail ASAP and I'll put you on the list.

The plan at the moment is:

Meet at Rheinfelden Bahnhof at 1:30pm on the 17th of January

Tour start: 2pm @ Feldschlösschen Brewery near Rheinfelden
Tour Duration: about an hour (in English)
Degustation (i.e. FREE BEER AND FINGER FOOD!): 1-2 hours
Costs: Travel - 11Fr one way from Zürich; Tour - FREE

Afterwards, there will probably be a tour of the town of Rheinfelden followed by further samplings of local produce!

If you need any more information please let me know. And yes, the tour is on a Friday! But I think if you ask your boss nicely he would be happy for you to spend a Friday afternoon drinking beer instead of cluttering up the office.
